Good thing they give you Valium for this

June 8, 1998 -  I have been nearsighted a long time. My uncorrected vision was –6.5 diopters in both eyes. Pretty darn blind. To correct my vision, I have been wearing hard contact lenses for 23 years.  I wore glasses before that.

In Los Angeles, last May 4th, I had the laser eye surgery procedure known as LASIK done on both my eyes. 

Now, 5 weeks later, my uncorrected vision is 20/25. With any luck I’ll be 20/20 uncorrected by the time my eyes heal completely. This is my LASIK tale.
